We're leaning more towards rental to start, but second or third home would be rehab.

My wife and I are just getting our feet wet with real estate investing. We don't know much, other than we're tired of having to punch a clock every day and we're ready to start building our own business. Anyone in Omaha that could help mentor us, or at least point us in the right direction? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Thanks Curt. I've contacted a couple of them, I have the information on one real estate agent that works at an investment company. She and her husband own rentals and flip homes, so she walks the walk. I'm happy to give that info to you as well.

I just want to make sure I'm making the right moves to make this happen sooner rather than later.

I just found this website as I was searching around for information on how to get started investing in real estate in Omaha. I'm married, 3 kids, work a full time job, but honestly I'm tired of having to keep punching the clock for a paycheck that might not be there tomorrow. I'm tired of just getting by and my wife and I have decided to start taking action. Both of us have always wanted to get into real estate investing, but we aren't really sure where to start. I've contacted a real estate agent to talk about purchasing some homes for rent, but then that raises too many follow up questions like should we purchase a multi unit, or should we just flip the home, and on and on.

I would greatly appreciate some guidance on where to go and how to proceed. I don't want to have to keep going to work lol Thanks in advance
