Post: Finding a Mentor/Broker

Good Afternoon,

I am currently in pursuit of my real estate license and am sorting through my options for during and post license course. A family friend, who is in real estate, told me that broker/mentor is a vital part to an agents career. I am a hands on learner so working with someone who is invested in my growth is a major key for me. I am looking at agencies and so on but it all seems a little overwhelming and confusing.

My ideal location to work out of is Temecula down to San Diego, CA...

If anyone has advice, comments, or know anyone they would recommend as a mentor or a hiring broker, I would appreciate everything.

Could you clarify the statement? Also, why are you thinking about looking outside? Budgetary concerns? Any prior experience either with rentals or managing rentals outside where you reside?

I am new to real estate investing and am looking for the best way to get started and yes the budget is short. Im reaching out to people in my area to understand the area.

Thanks everyone for the insight and help! I am looking forward to learning as much as I can. @JoelNoel and @ChaseMaher I would love to connect with you to learn more about what you do and how you go about your business in California and going outside of California.

Hey,

I am 22 years old and just recently moved to Southern California. For many reasons, I have developed the desire to invest in real estate. Being new to California and real estate, I was looking for advice or information to check out that may be viewed as overlooked or not as known sources regarding real estate in general and real estate in California. I have dove into a lot of the "Best Sellers" but I like to read and learn from sources and as well-rounded as a new self-educating investor can be.

Thanks for your time...
