Finding a Mentor/Broker
Good Afternoon,
I am currently in pursuit of my real estate license and am sorting through my options for during and post license course. A family friend, who is in real estate, told me that broker/mentor is a vital part to an agents career. I am a hands on learner so working with someone who is invested in my growth is a major key for me. I am looking at agencies and so on but it all seems a little overwhelming and confusing.
My ideal location to work out of is Temecula down to San Diego, CA...
If anyone has advice, comments, or know anyone they would recommend as a mentor or a hiring broker, I would appreciate everything.

Hey Derek!
Being new in the industry with drive is awesome. I recommend going for a broker who offers lots of training. Then find an investor who you can align yourself with as a mentor. That way you can get the training and RE knowledge from the broker. Then the training and investor knowledge from your mentor and merge them together to be most likely to succeed (what is this a high school yearbook?). I recommend the larger brokers for training opportunities btw.
To find an investor is more difficult. First, there are many investors on here that are from your listed areas. Contact them and offer your services. Also one thing I would do is go to areas you want to work in or developments under construction you see and and just go up to the people working on the home and try and get the number to the owner/investor. Of course this is a developer/flipper example. If you want a mentor who buys and holds or any other. The likely hood your large brokerage has those peoples contacts or a way you can talk RE with them is high.
Have a good one. Let me know if I can help you in any other way.
