@Quinton Slay I agree with @Arlen Chou. Your longterm goals should definitely be aligned.

While I was also the one in charge of RE investment in our lives, it wasn't until after I got my wife fully on board and actively participating that we finally bought our first property. I have tried listening to the podcasts while driving together or reading stuff from the books to her to get her interested, but it didn't work. 

The thing that pushed her over was my lack of direction. We were talking about investing in two different markets, but I couldn't decide which one. She wanted to help me get unstuck and read Brandon's book (the book on real estate investing). After that (+ reading a few more books), she was fully on board and ready to invest. I hope this helps.
