The building was built without proper permits. I'm not sure what the consciences are for work that hasn't been permitted. Will they make you tear down walls to see? Will it be more expensive? She is on a fixed income and doesn't have much. If she rents to a long term renter, we will have some other issues.

My mom has a studio apt off the back of her garage that she added years ago as an entrainment room/ guest suit. Now she is wanting to use this space as a source of income, however it is not permitted. The county requires a permit for short term rentals but how can she? Anyone have this problem?

Hi Ray,

If only my position looked a little more like yours. I have been saving to invest in RA but now I am off work and have no income, at least I have a savings, I guess. I live in Sacramento and I was just reading that the Sac market is a great place to invest since the whole Bay is moving here. I could help you look for properties or check home out for you. I have nothing but time right now. At least it would help me sharpen my RA tools.

I am willing to help other out as well. I enjoy looking for properties and running the numbers.

Thanks,

Hi Derek, I'm just wondering how this all turned out? I'm super interested in AirBNB's as a whole and would love to hear more.

Lol! I have been cracking up at all the comments! I am also knew to investing and have had my eye on Huntsville. I was looking at a 4-plex there just recently (might even be the same one). If it is, I ran the numbers and I does make sense. I hope it works out for you!!! Good luck and please let’s us know how it goes!!! @Gergory Schwartz Diana

Hi guys, I'm also a newbie and am looking out of state. I just had a friend move to Huntsville, AL because her husband got a job with Aerojet and it seems like so many people are moving there for the same reasons. I want to buy and hold and would love to learn more or meet up.
