Quote from @Ned Carey:

@Derek Tauai welcome to BP.

Why do yiou want to start with Out of State investing? That increase your cost- Travel. It also increses iyour risk - less market knowledge.

Hi Ned. The Bay Area is a very expensive housing market to get into, for me, it’s more financially feasible to start investing in the midwest.

Why are people traveling to Columbus, OH. for MTR?

 Are you finding a lot of MTR success in Modesto?

Quote from @Jason Allen:

Have you considered investing in Columbus, Ohio? We work with a lot of out of state investors from California and have a team in my office to make the whole process of purchasing and management hassle free.

Ohio did not cross my mind initially but my interest is definitely piqued.  Sending you a DM now.

Quote from @Andrew Freed:

@Derek Tauai - Welcome! I recommend finding an investor focused agent out there that has experience with MTRs. Also, if possible, attend as many local real estate meetups as possible. Connecting on BP is great, nonetheless finding local investors, partners, agents, and lenders will get you closer to your goals.

Thank you for the suggestion!

Hi BP!

I'm new to REI and am looking to start my journey in the St. Louis, MO area. I'm most interested in the mid-term rental market but definitely open to ALL investing strategies. Let's connect!

Hi BP! I live in Northern California where the housing market is super expensive.  I’m looking to begin my investment journey in St. Louis where I’m hoping to get a little more bang for my buck. I’m interested in mid-term and short-term rentals as a way to offset my W-2 income. I’d be grateful for any recommendations with this process (realtors, lenders, management, contractors, etc.).  Let’s connect!
