We all have 2 cents
I had a rental for years, just had a renters insurance policy.
When my son came along I got the umbrella for 1 mill and transferee title to LLC
IF u believe in an umbrella then to protect your personal assets you should have an LLC.
The real question is, are there any other deductions one can write off when u have a LLC?
Besides the obvious repairs and depreciation
*** be careful if you have a mortgage in your name and try to transfer the title to a LLC.
LOOK INTO "due on sale clause"
Please correct me and advise me. I'm hear to learn and certainly no expert

Hello Nick
You are where I was 3 years ago.
Like any investor you always look at your history, profitability, where you have been, where you are and where you want to go.
I have 3 single family rental properties which turn a profit and alwAys looking to grow.
3 years ago we had our first child and strayed to use vrbo for our vacations, my wife wanted to rent a house instead of a hotel room with out baby.
After several vrbo vacations, planning for the next vacation and coincidentally reviewing my investments it hit me and it was as plain as day.
I can make more money renting a beach house for 10-12 weeks versus a year long tenant in one of my home.
My wife and I bought one, we use vrbo and it has been a success.
Yes it's a little bit more work with the individual weekly leases, updating the online calendar, ensuring the change over service shows up on time etc....... But speaking of profitability it's better and we get to use our house in the off season.
