Just got served a slip/fall personal injury suit - our insurance won't cover it because we have a personal injury exclusion in our e&o so we'll need to fight it. Any attorneys that the BP community recommend? Thank you in advance!!!

We purchased a building in Jan with a bad tenant in Chicago, IL.
The previous landlord had a simple 2 page lease without information about security deposit, etc..

Now that tenant is suing us for not disclosing where we kept the security deposit funds among other items of missing paperwork found in ordinary leases. The fee is 2x security deposit plus attorney fees

The question is, do they have an argument if the lease they have is signed by the old owner and not by us?

For Brokers/Realtors, our agents have used both Brian Buffini and Mike Ferry's team. Highly recommended. Both will kick your butt!

Hi Wendell,

We'd love to help host some of these for you (no cost). We have an office (set up like a classroom) at 2447 N. Ashland that can seat 50. I have a forum post around here somewhere about setting up a meetup. Let me know if you'd like to use our space! Thanks.

I can only speak for myself, I would love to attend and will always want to network and learn more about REI - but the second I hear "coaching" or "mentorship" or "wealth program" I will walk right out and never return

Agreed! Yeah, we're not selling anything. :) Just want to do a meetup!

My brokerage, Kale Realty, is interested in scheduling a series of meet-ups for real estate investors in Chicago and would like to gauge the level of interest. We expect that each event would provide an opportunity not only to network with other investors, but also to discuss current market trends, common concerns, possible resolutions to those issues, and opportunities for growth. Attendance would be free of charge. Our aim is simply to provide a forum for real estate investors to exchange ideas.

Please let us know if you think you would be interested in attending such an event. If there is sufficient interest, we will plan the first meet-up and post the event under the Events and Happenings forum. I hope to get this off the ground soon and get to meet some of you. Don’t forget to connect to me as a colleague!

Sincerely,

DJ Parris
