I’m in the exact same situation. I’m in the middle of escrow with a property in Jackson Mississippi with a 4 bedroom house for my son. Now he’s a sophomore but I’m waiting one more year for his maturity to put him and 3 more athletes in the house. I say go for it as long as your daughter can handle the responsibility. Her freshman year I absolutely say no, but you know best. Congratulations

I literally just came back from Jackson yesterday. The original property I passed on but saw another I put an offer on and it got accepted. 2k over asking price. This will be my first property out there. I will only cash flow 200 after all expenses

Personally I don’t think it’s a good time to invest In California. It can’t possibly be to much more room left for appreciation.
