sorry about lack of info. They need to sell because the payments got out from.under them, from what I understand they are having money troubles and HAVE NOT paid the house off yet. but they need to sell this house so they can move into another house that is more affordable. they ate living with family at the moment until the house sells

Hello all! New to BP, new to RE, I'd like to become a Real Estate investor one day, so some flips and also acquire some rental properties, both residential and commercial. As of now I have 0 properties. I am a Pawnbroker, I work at a large-chain, familiar name Pawn Shop. Fast Forward, because I'm on my lunch break here, my neighbors need to sell their house fast. it's in a GREAT neighborhood in Wylie, Texas. Great Schools, playground and community pool. Catch and Release fishing seconds from your front door (community pond) the house won't last long. they are 2 houses down from us, our house was on the market 2 days. and we over bid in order to get it. prime location. husband, wife and 5 kids. house has been cleaned, painted and staged. Good to Go. I was talking to him about my dreams of working for myself one day and getting into Real Estate, to which he replied, "Can you sell my house?" I'd like to try. However, I don't just wanna call one the number on the next "I buy homes for cash" sign by the the road, and miss out on something cool here. if I have a person, who has a problem, who needs a solution, what is there to gain besides good karma? meaning: Is there ANY way I can get any kind of skin in on this deal? is it wrong for me to think like this? Is there any way to make this, like "My first deal was actually helping out a friend" - Type story??? ANY FEEDBACK/ COMMENTS, CONCERNS, SUGGESTIONS/ ADVICE IS SOUGHT AFTER Thank you so much for your time -Josh

Hello, my name is Josh. I currently work full-time (non-real estate) and my wife and I would like to begin working in Real Estate. I do have experience working for Construction companies, Service Industry companies, and Independent Contractors in fileds such as Plumbing and A/C, Electrical, Multifamily Service/ Construction as well as Sales, Customer Service, Renovation/ Remodeling, Data Entry, Financial Services and Start-up Companies. 

Right now, I am in the Financial Sector, kind of. I work for a International Chain Short Term Loan Company. I enjoy working, it gives me a sense of purpose. I enjoy making money, who doesn't? 

I have this dream, 

A dream of being free from living paycheck to paycheck, working for other people in the sense of "No matter how many promotions I get, I'm still NEVER going to OWN the company I am working for.

I am happily married to the woman of my dreams, and we have 3 beautiful children and a comfortable lifestyle. I want to create a future for my family and be able to work with the person who knows me better than anybody, the person I share every other aspect of my life with, my wife. We work well together, and we share the same aspirations and attitudes when it comes to business and where we want to be.

I stumbled upon this website looking for any and all information pertaining to Real Estate, House Flipping,  Investing in properties both Long and Short Term, education, advice, experiences, tips, stories, wisdom, motivation and to make connections with other people who share this dream, or have even made this dream a reality.

My personal goal is to pursue my interests in Real Estate and Construction. So that I can not only buy and invest in properties, but also to continue my education and learn as much as possible in the construction side of the business to be able to be resourceful and educated in the building and renovation/ maintenance process as well.

I look forward to making connections and learning a lot here.
