 No, it's separate - they are looking to have an exclusive agent relationship in that county for a year.  

 Still based in Cali - looking to explore out-of-state opps as well.

Thanks for the comments, all - turns out we didn't get the investment property after all.  It did help us figure a few things out along the way.  Hoping to put that on here once I get my thoughts down to help others in their journey, as well.

Hey BPers, my wife and I are about to sign a contract for a multi-family in the SA area.  I had a question about a few of the documents my agent sent me to sign.

1. Within the purchase contract, are there any specific criteria I need to call out (this is anew build, if that helps)

2. for the agent contract, it says they will be the exclusive agent - I get that makes sense in the context of this property, but can they make themselves the exclusive agent we have to work with across Texas?

Hey all, finally decided to take the jump in running a side hustle in Real Estate.  I've always been curious and needed a bit of a kick to get me going (i.e., a crazy job).  I'm looking to explore Multi-Family unit investments with the hope that I turn this into a full time gig.  Looking forward to learning from everyone here and hoping to share my learning and pay it forward to this great community!
