The tenant is not me. I am not the land lord, either.

The tenant was 5 days late with the full rent. She paid half on due date (March 1), and half, today. There has never ever been a problem, before. In fact, she paid her rent in advance for 4 months, prior to March. The landlord is just looking for trouble.

I once owned 2 rental houses, in TX. At the time, the law stated land lords must give 24 hours notice before entering. I never watched for the tenants to leave the building, and then snuck  in like he did. I never screamed at the tenants. I never attempted to evict renters because there was writing on the wall. Maybe times, and laws, have changed.

 Questions about eviction in Texas:

Please tell me if a land lord can enter the property with out 24 hour prior notification just to look around.

AND- can the land lord scream outside to passerby people, and neighbors that the tenant has damaged the apartment?  Can the land lord evict tenant because a 2 year old child scribbled on the wall? Can the land lord file vandalism charges for two bags of trash in the kitchen, and scribbling on the wall, and demand $100 cash to be paid in 3 days, or tenant be evicted? The "damage" is two bags of trash, and a two year olds coloring on the wall, which is removable.

Thank you for replying.
