I wish I could track down the author.

I always heard it as "Any man who is under 30 and is not a liberal, has no heart; and any man who is over 30 and is not a conservative, has no brains.â€

But, I've also heard it this way:

"Show me a young Conservative and I'll show you someone with no heart. Show me an old Liberal and I'll show you someone with no brains."

It's often attributed to Winston Churchill, but I think there's question he originated it.

This is funny, but it's probably not too far away from being reality.

Wow! I really messed up that last post. Goes to show you what a 14 lb kitten can do can do when he walks on the keyboard. Just to clarify my response:

"Then go live in another country and see how sympathetic they are when you get sick. Good luck with that! Let us know how it works out for ya! "

I see a true revolution around the corner.

Wow, how un-american, un-patriotic of you to say that!

I dont understand. Some people want to deny children health care for what ever reason. I say stop killing and start careing. Is it un-patriotic to want to reach out and help those who cant help themselves.

It should be!!! What about people with disabilties? There again you didnt work for it go home?

I don't want to pay for the illegal immigrant who comes into this country and has 14 babies born here and claims it's her "right" to get health care for her babies because they are American citizens, yet she can't pay anything because she's on drugs and can't hold down a job. I won't pay for the scumbag (to use MikeOH's term) whose grandparents were on welfare, their parents were on welfare and now they are on welfare, but it's their "right" to get health care because they are a citizen of this country. I say NO!!!! Their "fair share" is not in my wallet!

Yes, so how about a little tort reform in this bill? One big reason insurance costs keep going up and up is because the doctors have to cover themselves for malpractice suits. I'm with MikeOH. Euthanize the trial lawyers and problem solved!

Hey, Kel, don't feel bad. Mine's in the dog house, too. We recently evicted the "adult entertainer" who my husband rented to without my consultation. He put up the for rent sign last week and we got numerous calls right away. A nice young, clean cut couple with a two-year old is very interested. I thought "Yeah, perfect tenants!" Hubby brought the app home tonight. She's divorced and just started a new job this month. My husband assumed the man with her was her husband. So I asked him if he asked her if the man was going to live there, too. We need an app from him, also. Nope, didn't ask. Now I have to call her and ask all the questions he should have already asked. Like, why does your emergency contact's last name match your current landlord's last name? Are you currently living with your parents? Does your boyfriend currently live with your parents? Can you really afford the rent, utilities, etc., after the two of you get into a fight and your boyfriend moves out? Men!

Now, Dick, how could you believe a "nasty and misleading right-wing chain email" funded by the insurance industry? This site provides you with a reply email to "fight these smears, one lie at a time."

It's funny, their truths on each point didn't ease my mind one bit.

I have never in my life seen such corrupt, machine politics in this country. I hope people continue to speak out against this bill. I know I will.
