Post: Probate look up in Massachusetts

I just recently started looking into probates here and have found it extremely difficult myself. I have been to the courthouse as well as online and it seems like there is no easy way to acquire the needed information, from my experience so far is to reach out to attorneys and see if there is anything you can barter for information. I was out of state last week and other states/cities seem to be much more investor friendly. If @Brian Ortins or anyone else has found anything help please inform.

Thanks,

Dawit Araia

it's been a little while, and I have two questions.

1. I saw that a property went into preforeclosure and was wondering how to find out why it is and how much is owed before I approach the owner.

2. Does anybody know how to get probate leads in the Boston area without having to go to the courthouse as I work during courthouse hours which makes it very difficult to get there.

Thanks any all info will be greatly appreciated.

The guy who owns it now had prints drawn up for 10 units; two one beds, six 2 beds, and two 3 beds. Personally, I think the space used for the one beds would be better used as a single unit for that market. 10,000 usable sqft now but 12,000 added after putting in a floor

Thank you both for the input, it is in the River st/lowell st. neighborhood. The original plans were for condos, it could also be turned into apartments seeing as how there are a lot of renters in that area. The owner is also willing to do a 40/60 split where the investor builds it out and pays for the conversion work he will take 40% and the investor will take 60% after the sale of the project. With this option the owner will not take any money other than the 40%.

Hello BP community,

I have a question, I am looking at a building in Haverhill, Ma that is gutted. The current owners purchased it in 2005 to convert into condos but when the market crashed they stopped construction. Long story short, I am looking to wholesale it to someone that would like to do something with the property but not sure if the market there is good for condos. Does anyone know that market? I've been looking for articles or market reports for this info but am having trouble finding anything for condos.
