Hey Joe,

While traffic can be pretty bad in high rental times, it really depends on your group's ages and what you want to do on your vacation.

If you want to spend most of your time in the park, it might make sense to rent a cabin in Gatlinburg, on the Spur between Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge, or in Townsend. But you can usually take the Gatlinburg Bypass or Townsend entrance and go around most of the traffic.

The Arts & Crafts community on the East side of Gatlinburg is usually a little older crowd, and is not as crowded.

Pigeon Forge is a little younger, and has a lot of amusement parks, rides and shops.

Let me know if you have any specifics on what you want to do.

Thanks for the info, I think a pool is in the longer future for us.

Hopefully someone will have a hot tub available that isn't COVID delayed by a few months.

Good morning,

We are about to open a second chalet for STVR in Gatlinburg and I am trying to weigh out the impact of a swim spa.

4BR, 3BA Sleeps 10 on a Private 5 acre+ piece on Glades Road.

I have talked to several companies locally about getting a swim spa and they all are quoting May-July 2022 for delivery.

Nightly rates in this size are a little all over the place, from $250 to $1000 (With Pools at the high end).

Will it kill me to not have a hot tub while I wait for the swim spa for more than a year?

We don't have a mountain view, but we do have extreme privacy and quiet.

Thanks for the input,

David

Good morning all,

I am starting to build a team for property rehab and maintenance in Sevierville / Gatlinburg. We have a second home on the spur and are starting to gear up for STVRs.

Any recommendations for a good painter / stainer that has done well for you in the past?

Right now we just need deck rails stained and a cabin sealed/stained.

Thank you,

David Waldron
