@Timothy Church Great! I will contact you personally and we can figure out a good time to talk!

Hey @Timothy Church I am actually not local to Galveston, (I actually live in Airbnbs on the road) however BP made me pick a city to call my home and Galveston is where I plan to invest so it says I am local. I am planning a trip with my Partner to Galveston sometime this fall/winter and would love to meet up and talk!

My biggest challenge is that I live on the road and not in Galveston. Makes things a little tricky!

Thanks @Debra Broussard and @Mark S. Finding a great local team is top priority for me right now!

The exact concern I was mentioning was from Galveston Ordinance 15-012 on Short Term Rentals,

"The local contact person is the person designated by the owner or operator who shall be available twenty-four (24) hours per day, seven (7) days a week, for the purpose of: (1) Responding in person within one hour to complaints regarding the condition, operation, or conduct of occupants of the short term rental unit, and (2) taking remedial action to solve such complaints."

I just assumed this needed to be someone besides a Cleaner or Repairman. It would be great if they could take this role as well but is seems like they are trying to just keep everything local with this part of the Ordinance.

Any thoughts?

Hey Y'all! I am a little late here but I am also looking at doing my first STR in Galveston. My biggest concern is having a representative available 24/7 in the city for any complaints that arise... How do y'all suggest handling this issue while doing long distance renting? (I travel full time for work)
