Okay, that makes sense. Thanks to everyone for the explanation. I had heard about wholetailing and, from what I've heard, it is preferred over wholesaling.

Hey Fellow Investors, I am starting my investing journey with vigor but lacking knowledge. I've heard of wholesaling but what exactly is wholetailing and is it better than wholesaling? Thank you

@Malcomb Stapel Thanks for the reply. It definitely feels like there is a negative stigma around it. I've even heard about some negativity around other forms of real estate investing like Airbnbs. Also, what kind of resources do you mean? Like having the capital to enter a deal?

Hey fellow investors. Question. As someone looking to start real estate investing, is wholesaling a good way to start? I feel like I keep hearing that wholesalers are the worst and do illegal things. I mean, you can do illegal things in any form of real estate investing. So, is wholesaling really that bad and a reliable means of investing in real estate? Or is it better to start with another form of investing? Thank you!

Good Afternoon Everyone,

Just a quick question about wholesaling. When it comes to putting a property under contract, there is the matter of earnest money. From what I understand, it is expected to put up a certain percentage of the purchase price as the earnest deposit. What do other wholesalers do in this situation? Thank you.

Good Afternoon Fellow Investors,

I am an up-and-coming wholesaler who would like to meet some wholesalers and learn about the nuances of how they do business. I operate Northeast of Atlanta (Gainesville area) and it's hard finding wholesalers that operate in my neck of the woods. If there are any that wouldn't mind connecting, please let me know.

Thank you and happy investing.

Good Afternoon Fellow Investors,

I'm looking to research other markets and understand that you can get specific information from local real estate agents. However, are there other ways of getting information such as wage growth, population growth, and so on? I'm also asking because I don't want to just take what I'm told at face value. Thank you.

@John Mathew Thanks for the insight. That really simplifies it for me. At times it feels really confusing on what the best route is for my investing journey because you may hear one group say it's better to get licensed and the other saying it doesn't matter.
