Thanks all! And Jon, I did lp for Target

Thanks folks! And now it begins =)

Awesome, thanks for all of the replies everyone! I'm glad I joined this site, everyone is willing to help which is definitely a good sign.

Hey guys,

I'm new to real estate and I was looking to get my salesperson license.  I've read that NY requires a 75 hour class along with a test before taking the state exam.  While looking through some of the forms, the RE Qualifying Course Approval Application stumped me a bit.

I plan on taking the required course online.  On the top of the form it says that the application must be submitted 60 days before the course is to be conducted...but a few lines down it says to attach the final exam and answer key.  How am I supposed to submit this approval application to take the 75 hour exam and get them the answer key 60 days before the course?  Am I interpreting it wrong?  For all I know I could be looking at the incorrect form all together.  I would love to hear from anybody who has been through the license process in NY state & can help me proceed.

Thanks,

Dave

Hey folks,

I'm 100% new to real estate, and from the Albany, NY area.  I'm going to slowly work towards getting my salesperson license, and hopefully hook up with a sponsoring broker & company to begin learning the ropes.  My long term goal here is to become an investor and own some rentals.

I found the BP podcasts through Google Play, and began listening just out of curiosity.  I love what I'm hearing so far, and that is the main reason I decided to get into it.  If there are any licensed salespeople in NY & could shoot me a PM, I have a couple of questions about the 75 hour course & application for that.

I look forward to getting to meet the BP community - from what I've read so far it seems like everyone is so willing to help each other & answer questions...and that's something I want to become a part of.

I recently left my old position as loss prevention at a large retail chain and wanted to use real estate to build a career, and then eventually a solid portfolio.  I enjoy golfing, going to breweries, and also am a big fan of PC gaming.

Thanks for this opportunity to learn and network!

Dave
