I just reached out to Elliot, thank you so much for the referral!

 Hi Zacharias
I'm also in the process and would like to hear what you found out on how to structure things.
Keep me posted, please.

I use

https://www.tenantcloud.com/

Once you get used to the way it works it seems to be good.

Quote from @Cody Shearer:

Hello fellow BP investors! I am looking for an accountant and an attorney that deal with Canadians investing in the US. I am trying to decide whether I should put my first 1 or 2 properties down here in my own name or into an LLC. As well as a few more legal and tax questions. I'm looking for answers on how to not get double taxed in both Canada and the USA. If anyone has gone through this and has some advice to share or an accountant and attorney to talk to that would be much appreciated! Thanks to all of you in advance.

 Hi Cody
Did you connect with someone on this? If so any advice for someone just heading down this path?

Quote from @Blair Taylor:

Hi! I'm a Canadian investor interested in investing in US real estate. I have invested previously using LLCs owned by an LLP. An LLP was necessary to avoid double taxation because LLCs are not recognized in Canada (unfortunate as they are a fantastic structure for Americans). My understanding is that the LLP structure is no longer a viable option. Due to the 2017 US corporate tax cuts, a US corp subsidiary may be an option. I am interested if anyone on the board has already set up a similar structure and can provide some advice. I have a Canadian accountant (CA) and US accountant (CPA) but generally they are not comfortable with cross border tax issues which are complex. Any advice welcome. Thanks.

Hi Blair  How did you make out with this? I'm just starting down this path and any advice you could provide would be greatly appreciated.

Hello Everyone.

I'm looking to network and build relationships with others in the Alabama, Texas, and Ohio area.

Just starting to explore these areas looking to add to our portfolio. If you are interested in seeing if we can help each out let's connect and set up a time to chat.

Hi

I currently have 3 single-family homes that I have had for a few years now before the market went crazy in our area. I got the places at good deals and they would be worth quite a bit more.

I was just wondering if anyone has looked at refinancing the rentals to pay off their personal mortgage? All places generate positive cash flow and make good returns.

Just looking for any advice on this.
