@Colleen F. Each floor has separate thermostat there are both on separate breakers one unit is a 3 bedroom the 2nd unit said 2 bedroom

I have 2 units that share utilities recommendations should I just charge more for rent charge a percentage and those 2 units or just get the utility separated

@Joe Splitrock I decided to write a letter to the tenants stating that I'm going to give them specific spot in the basement to share with the other unit very Is minimal room I'm being very generous they have 3 locations to store the belongings the minimal space in the basement they're unit and that storage in yard if it cannot fit in the 3 spots it cannot be in the property I'm taking a consideration they have been long term tenants 10 plus years( The basement is very cloudder of their personal belongings that they accumulate throughout the years)

Not too long ago I purchased my 1st rental property with existing tenants that both been there roughly about 10 years each they have a lot of personal belongings in the commons area and in storage any suggestions
