Hi All, we are really looking forward to seeing everybody at the meet up on Thursday!

@David Plaunt what other topics would you like to see others bring to the table/ present on?

Hey James, it would be great to hear about the investment techniques you have expertise in.

Hello All - Let's get together and make some real estate deals happen. We are getting some good traction going with these meetups. Thanks to all who have attended so far!

For this event we will compare and contrast the pros and cons of Long Term Rentals vs Short Term Rentals. After that we let the conversation go where it needs to go.

Last event we had Mike and Renee Sanders exploring duplex options in or around Minneapolis to get into the house hacking game. @Sova Kim is progressing on his first townhome (of many) for a SFR. Jonathan Treichler is new to the game and interested in both STR and LTR. Ben Nhan recently remodeled a SFR and found some interesting history and surprises when he pulled the carpet up. James Albrecht is interested in multifamily rentals. @Erik Gardea already has a portfolio of LTR and looking to expand into the STR game. @Jacob Carroll has a great system for buying, remodeling, and renting SFH's in the west suburbs and is a fantastic resource. Give his Instagram account a follow - @bridgingtenants - and you will learn all sorts of great tips and tricks for getting your real estate investing started. I am looking for a money partner for a 6-10 unit multifamily complex to rehab and maximize ROI.

This event is for investors of all levels. I hope to see you there. If you wish to attend and present on any topics, please let me know.

@Jordan Moorhead thanks for the suggestion! I’ll reach out to them.

@Bruce Woodruff there is a little 2-step stair to a walkway that runs along the side of my house, raised a couple of feet above the alley. It was a big moving truck and they got some air using the stairs as a ramp.

@Bill Brandt I was lucky to be out front of my place when it happened. My house butts right up to the alley and the guy driving the truck just cut the turn too close. He didn’t notice so I had to chase him down the block on foot to get insurance info. They are paying out, but I need two estimates first.

Does anybody have recommendations for contractors in Minneapolis who may be interested in a smaller scale roof repair?

My roof got hit by a moving truck and I need some estimates to file an insurance claim.

I think it would be a patch job, not entire roof replacement.

Let me know!

Thanks!

@Jacob Carroll excellent work creating this event! I plan to attend.

For everyone interested in attending - Jake is a true wealth of knowledge for investing in real estate. He has great advice for getting started, self-managing, and dealing with tenants. If you have the chance, you should make this meetup a priority.

@David Plaunt I will say I am tentative on appearing.

I would suggest rather then How to find deals in a hot market, probably better to go over WHAT IS a hot deal in this market, where the opportunities are. I hear people saying all the time "there's no deals, how do you find them James" and then I ask them to review some of the recent "non" deals they had and often, they were holding gold and just didn't recognize it.

There is deals left, right and center, there just different then 2010/12/15/17.

Well I hope you come on out one of these times. I would be grateful to hear your strategy.
