I recommend you just start calling agents and "interviewing" them. I do this all the time when I'm referring someone out of state. I look for agents who are not on one of those big teams because you'll likely get passed around like a hot potato. Some questions to ask them are: When are you available for showings? How many clients are you currently working with? Do you have any buyer fees? Tell them what you are looking for and have them set you up with an MLS search.

Hi all - I'm new to Bigger Pockets and already wishing I would have found this resource many years ago! I'm an experienced Real Estate Agent in St. Louis MO and looking to become an investor in the area as well. I'm fairly well educated with a Bachelors in Computer Science and Masters in Business Admin. I can crunch numbers, run comparables and evaluate deals like a pro using the MLS and Core Logic. It's the flipping, tenants and property management that I have no exposure to. I'm looking to network and learn from experienced investors in Saint Louis who may need an excellent agent at their resource. Thanks!

Hi Paul, I'm an agent in St. Louis. If you want to PM me some of the details of what type of properties you're looking for I can set you up on an email search through our MLS.
