Hey BP community!

I am exited because my neighbor has approached me about selling his home (home has been in his family since the 50s) He is asking for 495K its a 2 bed 1 bath home with a 2 car garage and a backyard that has 3 sheds that can be converted to small studios. He would like to sell without a realtor, with a realtor his selling price would be 515K. I have never been a part of a real estate transaction before. I am getting my financing in order now with my co borrower. The lot is around 7800 sq feet. I like the property because i can see the possibility in the house being a long term rental. How can i move forward without the realtor?

I am looking for my first BRRRR property. I am seeking an idea/step on starting this journey that i can implement today. I was recently pre qualified, my area the housing is almost twice the amount of what is pre qualified for, a little timid about investing in an area that is not near by. Also want to make sure i am using the right type of funding for the BRRRR method, i was qualified for a 30year term conventional mortgage ( even though i am a new homebuyer)

I was going to purchase the pretty house terms offered by Ron Legrand. It's roughly 1500 and looking for advice to see if it will be worth the investment

How's it going @Gino Gonzales I'm from the bay area near santa Cruz area also looking for experienced investors to learn the strategies of real estate investing

Hey @J Scott how's it going,

Read your post and felt the urge to ask you about some basic real estate investing strategies you'd recommend to someone with less than 10K to invest and a high fico score. I live in cali and everything seems pricy and intimidating for a newbie, what do you recommend I do to get started in the business of investing in properties.

Thanks in advance

-David

Post: Freedom mentor apprentice program. Heard of it ?

Dan how's it going? Did you ever pursue the apprentice program?

I went through the qualification aspect of the program. When it came time to discuss the initial investment it was roughly 7k not including Any marketing material needed. I declined the offer and did not proceed. The gentleman who gave me the info later sent me a link to the "pre apprentice program" roughly 1k but seems to be worth it (my opinion as a newbie with no deals under his belt yet) what I've heard and read is they base the price according to what you disclose during the interview as far as liquid cash or available credit on a credit card. I want to join his team as Phil is an expert but won't join until I have concrete proof that I will have a good experience and good outcome.

Cheers!

Post: New to BP! & Real estate investing

Good afternoon guys, I am new to real estate investing and to bigger pockets. My question is this:

What can I do today to jumpstart my career with real estate. I don't have the capital to purchase a property, I have decent credit.

I've read somewhere that there are many different ways of earning money through real estate. As a newbie I feel overwhelmed with that idea, as it is real estate to me already seems complex. If anyone is or has been in my shoes, know that you are not alone! I am doing research on getting started but seem overwhelmed I am hoping I get a few responses to trigger some new insight of ideas for me!

Thanks in advance,

-David
