Thank you all for your input. I'm sorry but I am new to Bigger Pockets and took a leap of faith in posting my question on this forum. I really didn't expect to be disrespected for my  post by Jacqueline. Thank you all for restoring my faith in this community. I have goals and dreams I would like to achieve. I will take all the advice seriously and continue with my education. Jacqueline I hope  in the future you too will achieve all your goals.  Thanks again.

Hello everyone, My question is in reference to buying my first duplex. I have a friend who owns 2 duplexes in Los Angeles and one single family dwelling in Texas. He is quite motivated in getting rid of these properties. He has owned them for years and has built up good equity in all of the properties. He is tired of being a landlord and is very interested in doing a deal ASAP. My question is what would be my best strategy in acquiring at least one of these properties?

Hi Richard,

Thanks for reaching out to the community. While I had success in the past in flipping properties in the late 80's It has been a while since I have been in the real estate investing arena. I am now getting back into the game and have had some great education from not only this website but from an organization called Lifeonaire. I am currently focusing my efforts on Probates and building up my marketing as we speak. I live in Corona and am always interested in networking with like minded people like yourself.
