I charge $25 "pet rent" per month, per pet in one of my units because they have a dog and 2 cats. In my other duplex I don't charge for pets, because we had a harder time getting tenants in that building.
I don't think it is legal to charge pet rent for service animals but I'm not 100% sure; best to verify that before you start.

Oh wow. Good point. Not a hill worth dying on LOL.

@Anthony Thompson I just received an invoice for a $50 fee for this permit. I spoke with someone in zoning at City Hall, and she said there’s been some debate about whether or not they will be enforcing a fee, so the saga continues. She said not to pay it for now.

Anyway, she did say they won’t be doing inspections unless complaints arise.

Thank you @Anthony Thompson for bringing this to my attention. I just bought a property I plan to list on AirBnb. I filled out the online application. Any idea how much the fee will be? I couldn’t find it on the site.

Looking recommendations for homeowners insurance.

I’m closing in a couple weeks on a 2-unit investment property in Providence, RI.

I have Geico for my primary residence, but they said they cannot insure this investment property.

I also called Barton, who said they’d get back to me next week.

Unfortunately no, it's not.

@Anthony Thompson yeah, I would be driving up most of the time so I suppose I’d have to register my car there (can’t wait to pay that RI car tax again 😒).
