Post: Bookkeeping Methods for Small Investors

I am sure that this topic has come countless times in the past, but I am hoping that someone can recommend a good bookkeeping method/software for keeping track of less than 5 SFRs.  In my situation, I am investing in the Detroit suburbs.  I have one property that is tenant occupied and running smoothly and am in the process of closing on a second.  As I transition to treating my rentals as a business for bookkeeping purposes, I am trying to find a simple, cost effective, but useful tool/method/software that can help with this task.  Any recommendations would be much appreciated.

All the best,

Dave

Does anyone know of any good property managers who will work with small investors? I have a 3/1.5 SFR in North Oakland County, Michigan that I am renting out.

Thank you everyone. I am looking forward to exchanging ideas with all of you. Thanks for the heads up on the REIA meeting, @Jeff Rabinowitz.  I wasn't able to make it, this month, but hope to see you there in Jan.
