The subject says it all.  I got a good laugh about it at first.  Then I wondered why.  Sure I have three huge pine trees in my front yard that drop a lot of needles. Perhaps someone drove by between me raking them and bagging them? Perhaps someone driving for dollars saw the kids' bikes on the front porch? Don't other kids have their bikes out front like this?  Maybe my house got on a list because I have equity?

I thought it would be fun to open this up for us to discuss.  Has anyone else been in a similar situation?  Though it really isn't a big deal.  I'm mostly just curious.  Should I call the number and ask them why they sent the letter?  Cheers

Post: BP is selling forms now. That's disappointing.

This is certainly just my perspective, and I thought I'd add it to the thread.  To me it's a matter of mindset.  I was unaware of the price for forms, and had I seen it on my own, I wouldn't have thought anything bad about it. People can either buy it or not. It's like the latte factor. Some would say to not spend $5-10/day. Some say don't worry about it. I prefer making my latte at home, and it's less expensive.

BP has a lot of value. I became a pro member partly to give back.  I don't know how many days I've been surrounded by an extremely poor work environment and attitudes.  Those days, all it takes is to listen to a couple hours of BP podcasts and everything is awesome. Really it only takes a few minutes of listening to those guys to bring me back to the right mindset I need to be in. Where is the value in this free podcast?...Priceless!

Complain if needed. I won't. Cheers.

Hey everyone! My name is Dave Brown, and I'm looking forward to being here on biggerpockets! I've been interested in real estate for years. I guess really almost two decades. Dang, I may have just dated myself. I have done one, yes just one, real estate deal. This was when I purchased my primary residence through a short sale back in 2011. I have to say, it was rather interesting. I did a lot of work on this place. Why? Because I had too. The previous tenants let their animals run wild. It was disgusting! I certainly had to spend more than anticipated. All said and done, it was worth it. I believe it's accurate to say I now have quite a bit of equity in the house. So that's pretty cool!

I read Josh's post about how to introduce yourself, so I'm kinda going through what's recommended. I'm kind of from all over. I spent some years in California, but mostly grew up here in Centennial. I'm not fond of the question, "what do you do?" It's a rather vague question. Unless it's specified more clearly, I have been answering by saying, "I hang out and be cool." Essentially, this is what I do, regardless of specificity. What I do for a living, or for income, is very different from what the vast majority of people do. No, you probably can't guess it and no, it's nothing questionable. I'll leave it at this for now. My goals in real estate I think are fairly common and simple. Basically it would be financial freedom and to create a legacy for my family. Personally I really need to live in Hawaii, and be able to visit different places that I find fascinating and enjoyable. I think owning real estate in these places would be quite nice.

How I found biggerpockets!.... At the beginning of this year I found myself on a self improvement/personal development journey. This included reading many books and listening to podcasts. People like Zig Ziglar, Og Mandino, Dave Ramsey, Robert Kiyosaki, Napoleon Hill, Brian Buffini, Dale  Carnegie, and many others became my mentors. As many of you know, one reference leads to another, and eventually, I found biggerpockets!

So here I am, continuing my education and improving myself to continue living the good life! Cheers!
