Hey everyone!

I've been able to get my feet wet, flip a few properties, and begin growing my real estate portfolio.

In order to accelerate my growth I think a mentor would be incredibly valuable but I don't know any real estate investors locally that are where I want to eventually be.

What are your thoughts and advice regarding finding, vetting, and figuring out if the particular person is a good fit for that mentor role?

Thanks!

Hey there, look up Patrick Hilario with Allyance real estate. On any social media playform. He's a Winnipeg local investor/coach/mentor. He Hosts local meet ups, work shops and other things that would be a great way to connect with a Mentor. Or just learn from his workshops.

@bigbenthiessen on any social media. He's an active investor and knowledgeable agent. Also GC all his own projects, including new builds.

Hey BP community!

I am a long time Bigger Pockets fan and a first time forum "poster" from Winnipeg, Canada. My focus as an investor is buy & hold real estate with long term and short term rentals.

In 2022, I am looking to network and surround myself with others in the industry to ultimately help each other expand our real estate businesses. I don't have anyone in my circle that invests in real estate but I'm changing that this year. Does anyone know of any local Winnipeg meet ups or online Canadian Real Estate communities? Is anyone from Winnipeg or Manitoba and interested in connecting?

Alternatively, does anyone have any recommendations on books or podcasts specific to Canadian Real Estate Investing? BP has been great but I'm also interested in hearing from Canadian Real Estate Investors.

Thanks!

Hey there Jessica, I am also a newer Investor in Winnipeg. Currently renovating my third BRRRR. I would love to get together and chat about the biz!

Look up bigbenthiessen on any social media. Great agent with many properties he only does Brrrrs

Hello, currently from Winnipeg lived on Vancouver Island for 5 years growing up. I am trying to Brrrr here in Winnipeg with the goal of one day be able to move back to BC. I don't speak from experience but an idea may be to try airb&b your properties in BC, you can make far more when doing STR and possibly even turn the negative property into a cash positive one. Or invest here in Winnipeg, they are getting harder to find but you can still cashflow and Brrrr here in Winnipeg in C and D neighborhoods. All the best!
