Hello BP! 

I am a real estate investment rookie learning the ropes by a mentor friend who is pretty successful at this in Grand Rapids, MI. He introduced me to it while climbing up Mt. Kilimanjaro earlier this year. From then I have been hooked and have been in a ton of books and forums increasing my financial intelligence ever since. My favorite so far are BP's "The book on Rental Property Investing", Rich Dad Poor Dad, and Cash Flow Quadrant. 

My current job is a professional fundraiser and I look forward to connecting my passion of fundraising with the buy and hold market he in Canton, OH. I'm currently looking for an entry level single family rental to get my feet wet a bit.

Thank you @James Klafehn, @Joel Owens, and @Brandon L.. Since one of the agents is the same one I bought my primary through I know that it is for 90 days. I get it and I have no problem giving credit to where credit is due (agents time). I Imagine that different agencies have different language in their buyer agency agreement. Like most things, I'm going to have to comb through and read it carefully. I like the altering the agreement idea for the house they they show me. Great insight. Thank you all for your time. I'm looking for a real estate agent to who will show me a house once I run the numbers and they look within my acceptable range. The two that I reached out to wanted me to sign a buyer agency agreement that basically locked me into an exclusivity agreement with the agent. My mentor who is pretty successful at this told me not to sign them and that it's not in my best interest. I'm looking for some insight on what people out there concerning this? Thanks -Daren
