I just recently graduated college in May and have moved into the Philadelphia area (Center City).

I am currently working right in the city and have leased out an apartment with some friends until June of 2017.

Nevertheless, after the lease expires, I am very interesting in House-Hacking a multi-family unit somewhere within the city in which I can walk or bike to work.

If anybody knows of any contacts familiar with the area I would love to speak with them.

 Hey Mike,

First of all, welcome to Philadelphia! If you need any help planning towards house-hacking or just getting to know the local market in general, feel free to reach out to me. Hope you've been enjoying your time here thus far!

 Good morning Michelle,

I am sorry to hear that this property no longer fits into your plans. As a realtor myself, I do have a question. If a real estate agent brings you a buyer, would you be willing to pay that buyer's agent comission? If so, that is something you may want to advertise as it will give local agents more confidence to bring you buyers.

Just a suggestion :) Other than that, I hope your home sells soon!

Thank you.

@Eldin Kalic Welcome to BP! I started out the same way you did, by listening to Podcasts and then recently joining the forum myself. That was a great decision!

Hello,

I am a new member to BiggerPockets, and I actually found out about this community through Youtube. I've listened to about 10 of the Podcasts and have been totally fascinated to the point where I decided to join this wonderful community. I listen to a lot of business, and motivational books which helps me keep my mind positive and motivated. I currently reside in Philadelphia, and just turned 21. I purchased my first home back in June of this year, and had I listened to Rich Dad Poor Dad before deciding to purchase a home, I would of probably used the money to just buy my first investment home instead.

Nevertheless, I am currently working on generating enough cash to be able to do my first flip by working full time, and running a small business part time. That of course can be very tough as my liabilities have increased due to the home purchase. I will continue reading the discussions, and participating wherever I can, even though I do not have much real estate experience. My girlfriend is actually currently studying for her real estate license, which will help us a ton as she'd have access to the MLS, and be a great help when it actually comes to selling any homes.

Any tips, and advice for a beginner like me would be truly appreciated, thank you for taking the time to read this post!!
