@Bruce Woodruff

The price is for the build out of the container. It doesn't include the price for land development, Utility hookups, transportation of the container, etc. I'm not trying to build a 1500sqft house out of containers. I am 22 yet not naive. I'm aware of what is needed to build and have done my research.

@Bruce Woodruff

Yes the foam would be installed on the inside. The average price for a night stay in a "tiny" home is $170 in my market. Depending on what market you are in the price can fluctuate. You would pay for the experience and the view. I have plans for a two container unit to fit 4 guests. Shipping containers have gone up in price since the pandemic. A used 40ft high cube will run around 2,800-3,200. A fully built container cabin will cost around 30k and up depending on what you want in it.

@Steve Miklashevskiy I would want it in the Georgia mountains within 3 hours of Gwinnett Georgia. There is a six acre lot in Ellijay Georgia for 100k with an amazing over look of the National forest that I believe would be a great spot for four units. At this time i do not have the funding for such an investment. Each unit can bring in around 50k a year if rented out $200 a night with 70% occupancy. The only shipping container in the Georgia mountains and its only a 20ft in Blue ridge. I'm not sure where to go to find the right investor.

@Rick Baggenstoss I was talking about a single 40ft long shipping container. The design doesn't have to be modern and can be placed anywhere. I guess I'm leaning more toward affordable living.

My targeted clientele would be investors/Property owners that would like to get into the glamping Airbnb scene. Thank you for your feedback!

I have a welding company in Gwinnett Georgia and would like to move into the short term rental market. I am trying to make a shipping container cabin as a model unit. My main focus is single 40ft high cube unit. A transportable cabin that would make a perfect get away in the mountains. The unit would be a 1 bedroom, one bath, studio. Envision a modern shipping container design tucked between big oaks overlooking the blue ridge mountains. A large custom kitchen pass-through window with concrete countertops. Designs can vary. Looking to find out how many people would be interested in these.
