We have 20% down for 2 STRs and will self manage from Arizona. Where are you investing next?

@Paul Sandhu There are normally 2 Realtors in a transaction-  listing agent works for the seller, a buyer's agent works for the buyer. As a Realtor myself, I know that I want a local Realtor representing me on the buy side.

@Greg Parker Thank you! We are looking at Gulf Shores as well.

@Brian T. Grooms thanks! I am looking to add a STR in Flagstaff by next summer and have not found a Realtor with STR experience yet. I will message you!

Aside from doing a keyword search (which I have done), is it best to google or pay for a membership here to find a Realtor for STRs? Or are there other forums/FB groups that I am missing? We have a dedicated Realtor in 2 markets but am struggling on finding STR Realtors in specific parts of Florida. How do you find Realtors? Thx!

Most employees moving to Arizona to work at these companies don't mind a longer commute. Chandler is not an affordable housing area (compared to other cities around Chandler) - I would recommend purchasing in the far east valley like San Tan or even Florence, or the many cities on the west side. Check out the community Douglas Ranch (coming in the next few years to the far west side)- Bill Gates is an investor

I am a Mesa native- and still live in the area. Mesa tends to have more of the duplexes than the surrounding areas (if you are considering house hacking a multi property), since its on the older side of the east valley. More of the affordable options will be far west or far east. Feel free to reach out with any questions on the market or area! There are a lot of options!

Jaime, I personally think the far west/east communities are ideal for SFR properties. You can still purchase a home (even new builds) for high 200s/low 300s, and the market is still climbing. We are personally buying new builds in the area for equity purposes.

Hi Dhea! I am finding success in purchasing new builds in the outlying areas of Phx. One new build purchased in Feb 2021 has already seen a $45k increase in the base price, and its not even completed yet. Many new build communities in Arizona (most!) have waiting lists and lotteries but these outlying communities still have first come/first serve availability.
