I am on a few real estate investing sites, and it's been surprising with the amount of people "buying for a hedge fund".

How legitimate are these people?

How many hedge funds are involved in actual SFH real estate investing?

How does one get started as a buyer for them?

Something that's been itching my brain for some time..

A credit partner is someone that usually has a line of credit with a bank/lender that has been in business for more than 2 years and a credit score around 800+.

While this partner can be similar to a private money lender, they are usually more involved in the actual business and are compensated more than just a lender.

Hey @Kevin Zolea , my advice would be to join all groups/meet ups and see which ones you like the most. Some groups are all about shameless self-interested pitches for their own companies and ventures, while others are about helping eachother and giving advice to fellow investors. Many times, you will see familiar faces at all meet ups.

I use to live in North NJ, and moved to St. Pete, FL last year, and was in a similar position to you. Recent college grad, not completely pumped about my career and geographical location, wanting to get into real estate after discussing life thoughts with some wealthy older business owners.

Talk to everyone, get on every real estate investing site, and shake a lot of hands. You'll be surprised at how many people are involved in real estate no matter where you are.

Best,

Dan
