Great job! Looks good and the numbers worked out great.

Thanks for sharing.

Very nice job on this one. The house looks great and the numbers even better. Keep up the great work.

Thanks to all of you who have weighed in on this issue. I was asking so that it was clear in my mind going forward what was legal and ethical and also most advantageous.

As Kim and Greg have pointed out, it is all in the disclosure and being up front with your transactions. Thanks for that info.

Once again, thanks for all the feedback. Dan

Thanks @DavidLopez. That is always an option. The media business has become somewhat of a moving target over the last  few years.  Getting harder and harder, but you never now.

Thanks @DavidSweeney. I have been trying to analyze a couple deals a day to get a real feel for what is a good deal or not.  Thanks for your advice. I appreciate it.

Hi-  I'm just getting started and have a bunch of questions, so I thought I would start with

one that I have wondered about for quite some time.

Are there any issues or restrictions regarding Real Estate Agents also being investors?

From reading in the forums, it appears there are lots of agents involved in the investing side of things. If I am wrong about this, someone can correct me, but it looks that way to me.

Wondering if it would be advantageous for me to get my license. From a general education point of view, it would seem to make sense, but there is a ton of info out there without going that route.

Just looking to get feedback on this issue.

Hi-My name is Dan Dingess.  I live in Tacoma, WA and work in Seattle WA. Along with a business partner, I own a media production company. It's been good over the years, but is not passive by any means. More like work for hire. Starting to transition over the next few years to a life in investing in real estate.

I am new to real estate investing. I have been interested in taking the plunge for years, but never did. Fear, paralysis, lack of knowledge etc... all played a part. Looking at leaving my career as a Media producer in the next 5 to 6 years, so now is the time to make this happen. I have always felt like I knew enough to be dangerous...always had gaps in my knowledge base that gave me pause. Listening to too many gurus and always feeling skeptical in the end. Finding Bigger Pockets has pulled a lot of info together for me. I have been able to get answers to nagging questions I have had over the years and now I have the confidence to go out and get some deals done.
