Hi there guys,

As a new member and foreign investor I'm interested to learn more about the US real estate marketplace. It's a dynamic market but it has a unique set of challenges for anyone wanting to invest from outside the USA.

As an example, I notice that a foreign investor can set up an LLC, get an EIN and ITIN while not much is said about getting "opted out" of foreign investor withholding tax.

The forums here have some discussion on this withholding tax exemption but no real specifics. With that said are there any CPA/Legal people here that do have experience in setting up foreign investors who can shed some light on this as well as ideal states, entities and taxation for maximum benefit?

Thanks in advance

Dane
