I can't make this date, but I'll do my best to make the next one if there is one!

@Gabriel Meerzo is correct, Sweetwater is not open on Sundays (except during the holiday season).

Yes please! Awesome idea @Jeremy Tillotson

I second that, @Drew Wiard

Weekends, especially evenings would work best for me personally but I'd make a strong effort to be there whenever.

Duly noted, @Ben Leybovich. Good to know who I'm dealing with! :-P

@Jeremy Tillotson, bring it on! Send some of that bacon my way... I'm hungry! :-)

Seriously, if I've learned anything so far in life, taking on a little more than you're ready to handle gives you the opportunity to achieve more than you knew you could. You guys are living proof of that, am I right?!

Thanks, @Jeremy Tillotson, @Jerry W., and @Kolin Young! I crave all your input.

I've read through the learn section a few times up to now and it's so full of information that it may be time to do it again. Great tip on the keywords... I'm still learning my way around the forums. Seems like there's so much happening out there!

Have any of you Fort Wayne investors got any experience with REOs? I'm reading the Jeff Adams book right now and I am feeling pretty inspired...

Hey @Blaine Wilson! I'm a BP newbie in Fort Wayne as well, hoping to rehab and acquire some SFRs in the near future.

I'd love to compare notes and talk about the local market!

Best of luck to you!

Hey everyone!

I've been poking around on here off and on for awhile, not too seriously, but have decided it's time to dig in and take advantage of this cool resource on BP.

4 years ago my wife and I bit off way more than we could chew with our first "handyman special" home, a 1940s 1400 sqft 3br 2ba on 3.5 acres with decades of deferred maintenance and shoddy DIY.  We got what we thought was a great deal, which turned out to be a mediocre deal but a fabulous and invaluable education. (We did foresee this as a possible outcome.) For 4 years this house and property have been my work after work, a constant challenge to my creativity, flexibility and work ethic, and the sole benefactor of all my disposable income! I love this house... but I can't wait to move on.

I have the bug. I want to do more renovations, build a portfolio of SFRs and possibly MFRs.  I have been thinking about this and reading and dreaming for too years now, but the hard part-- actually doing it-- is still ahead of me.

I hope that through relationships built here and in my local RE community I'll be spurred on to accomplish this first step, and that I can find like-minded individuals to cooperate with and learn from. Whoever you are, reading this right now, I'm at your service!  How can we work together?

Thanks to all of you who make this BP community a welcoming place to learn and network.  I'm grateful to be here with you!
