I would hire your electrician and plumber and make sure the work was done to local code and permits were pulled. Aside from being out of code, it could possibly cause issues with your home insurance if something were to happen. Also, in New Jersey, certain cities require washer/dryer hookups to be in certain areas of you home, so if you had to get occupancy inspections from the city you could fail. Your gain in the long run would be that you can now offer washer/dryer hookups in your property.
