Hello All, I've worked in chemical and pharmaceutical manufacturing as a Lab Operator and a Pilot Plant Operator and am currently working my W2 job while also working as a Real Estate Agent with plans to quit my W2 and transition into Real Estate full time as an agent/investor in San Antonio,TX . My goal is to build a portfolio of rentals. I plan to partner up starting out while gaining experience.

I’d love to connect with other like minded individuals whether you are just getting started or an experienced investor to talk how you got started and what you think would be a good approach starting out.

Hello @Chirag Shetty , San Antonio is a great market to buy and has seen great appreciation benefiting from Tesla and other Tech companies moving in right down the road in Austin.

Hello All,

I just passed my licensing exam to become a realtor and I am currently in the process of interviewing brokerages. I am currently torn between JBGOODWIN, Exp, and Keller Williams. They all have their own perks and benefits but what I am looking for most as a new agent is adequate training and support to insure I achieve sustained success and do not fizzle out in my first year like the 90% of realtors they mention so often in school. I would love a little advice from a few veteran agents on what you think. Joining a team is also something I’ve been considering.

Hello All, I have 3 multi-family properties under contract. They are all on one big corner lot being sold as a package deal. Between all three properties there are a total of 7 units with 6 currently rented out producing good cash flow. The properties need work and would appraise for much higher than purchase price. They are about 7 minutes from the University of Arizona and a new community was just built next door. I am looking for funding for this deal.

Thank you all for all the great feedback! I really appreciate it. I think I will pass on these types of deals for now the risk seems too high. If the deal made sense and the unpermitted work was minimal I'd take it into consideration but the houses I were referring to had 600-800sqft of unpermitted work.

@Julio Garcia So there is no way to get the add ons permitted by bringing them up to city standard ? Do you think it would still sell at market value if it were renovated and all un permitted information was disclosed ?
