Does anyone have experience with Money Market Accounts and the companies that provide them?

The rates they provide are supposed to be better than the private banks and credit unions.

Should I be preoccupied with avoiding deals where I risk having to pay PMI on the loan?

Are purchase money mortgages a form of seller financing?

How are purchase money mortgage transactions handled?

Is it a standard document used in real estate transactions?

Should a real estate agent that works with owner occupied buyers/sellers be familiar with the process?

Is this something that they seller will need to work with their lender to secure?

@Brandon Turner

Thanks!

I meant to make the meetup at The Ram last month but was out of town for work.

I will be sure to review the Events/Happenings link for upcoming get togethers.

Thank you Mitchell,

Notes are one of the investment vehicles I am researching.

I have a list of four different vendors that I am considering.

Whatever additional guidance/information you can provide is appreciated.

Hi,

There are a lot of resources online.

I am in the process of putting together a business plan myself.

The real challenge is compiling data and presenting it in a compelling manor.

Step one is the outline though.

Plenty of outlines are available just searching "real estate business plan"

I don't have an answer to your questions specifically.

  • Learning how to navigate the municipal tax delinquency data and then leveraging it for usable information is on my list of goals.

However, I have heard but not used an online resource called "listsource".

It might be helpful.

Welcome Joseph,

I am new to investing as well. And I too am in the process of finding an experienced investor that is willing to work with me, show me the ropes, etc and in return, gets the value of my time/resources for their own business.

My plan for finding this person is simply to attend local REIA meetings, networking events, social functions, etc and just get to know people.

Finding a good mentor, from what I understand, is like finding a good friend. It takes time and I have to be willing to make the effort.

Welcome Courtney!

I just got back from my sister's wedding in Hanover, IN. I am not sure where that is in reference to Evansville though.

While there we drove down to Louisville and I found myself checking out areas of interest in terms of real estate and local pricing. There is a lot of opportunity in the countryside that parallels I-65 and HWY 62. I am sure Louisville and the surrounding area are growing at a steady pace.

As an aspiring real estate investor myself, it is always intersting to visit other cities/geographic locations and do some research while there.

@Faris Yaghmour

Man, you are ahead of the game! That is great.

I try to encourage my younger friends to look at real estate investment as a means to financial freedom, congrats on the foresight.

Good luck!
