Thanks for the advice. They were good tenants unfortunately this happened. We are the 3rd owner of the building and they've been there ever since. 

Tenant 90+ y/o was hospitalized then discharged to a nursing home for long term care ( health worker said no immediate discharge plans). She has a 70+ y/o sister left in the apt but does not have capacity to pay rent. No lease in place. What steps should I take, 2 mos rent not paid...

I did get the 5th loan, but building was appraised lower at $310k ( reason? we didn't finish basement). Bank approved less than 50% of appraised value.

I would like to expand my portfolio of rental estate properties ( 3 multi unit + 2 condos & primary residence) ( 1 condo & 1 multi unit= paid off) (2 multi ,1 condo + primary residence= still w/ mortgage). The problem I was told is I'm maxed out with four mortgages. Is their any way I can get equity for the multi unit that is already paid off. Property if worth 350k.
