Thank you everyone. I received a letter from Equifax and they showed me the VZ bill in question and that being all that is on my credit score. The company told me to fax it to them to begin working on it. Hopefully it's gone soon.

Thanks everyone for helping me out I really appreciate it. I'm young and only had one bill in my name and when the bank told me my score they told me there was a single bill on my report. It's been there for maybe a year and a half. I assume that's why it's so low but I'm in touch with a guy who has a credit management company who says he can wipe it completely off like it never happened. Is that true? How would you even do that?

Hey! So I'm 21 from Buffalo, NY and awhile back I wanted to establish credit so I put a Verizon bill in my name. Without goin into too much detail, I owe them (through no fault of my own) $232. I spoke with a representative and they offered to settle it at $179. Is this reliable and if so how can I get rid of the strike on my credit score. Right now it's 499. What do you think is the best way to fix my credit score? I need to know asap before I call them tomorrow and pay it.

I personally don't plan to live in the property for more than a year or two (once I graduate from college I plan to move out of state) The belmont housing program does have limitations as to if you move and are no longer a owner occupant you do have to pay back a percentage of the approx. $7500 they give you. Just make sure you do some research. Go sit down with the people at the location on main street. They were cool and helped me out alot. U

Definitely appreciate that. I'm gonna go Thursday to talk to them. Do they look at your credit score?

Hi guys, I'm really excited about getting into the real estate game and want to start off as an Owner Occupied investor. I'm looking to purchase a tri or 4 plex to accumulate multiple sources in cash flow. I live in Buffalo, NY and want to house people that can pay out of pocket and/or through Belmont or Section 8. Background on me: I'm a 21 year old, high school grad, Musician/bartender. I have little to no car credit, I live for "free" with my gf and roommates but I know longer want to be a free loader and own my own property. If you can give me an almost step by step list of moves that I need to make to get my first Tri or 4 Plex I'd be forever in your debt. Now I've read Rich Dad, Poor Dad. Brandon Turner's Creative Real Estate book. And spoke with some landlords I personally know. Suggestions on books are fine but I really want more action, if you have a book, please tell me what was in that book that struck you. Thank you.
