I got information about this Bungalow Colony thats selling for 795k in upstate NY its netting 121k a year what questions should i ask please see the images I got. for any help that would be amazing i am learning and I am new.

i live in far rockaway NY and i live in a building and trying to get out and do house hacking.

i found this mulitfamily house a couple of blocks away from me:

so the open house for bids are on sunday.

what should i be looking for?

can this be a good housing hacking? or should i rent the two units out?

please help me decide what i should do on one hand i rather live in  my own house and rent the other unit even if i have to pay some mortgage? 

also another important thing is that i was told they want a cash offer. the problem is that i dont have the cash i can try getting if but would need to pay the person back in less then a year. can i get a loan/mortgage after i buy the house? can i get an FHA load after i get the house?

So I forgot to mention that the house I am going to look at cost/wants 349k there is also another house that is 399k both are multifamily so two units in each. Does this change the senorita on top.

first what does imo stand for. 

So your saying that if I pay have of what I pay in rental now it would be a good idea to buy a duplez? What other expenses do I have to consider for owning a house? Instead of renting?

Ok so i want to buy a duplex.

so right now i am renting for 1465.00 a month 

if i can buy a house and rent out the other unit and that tenant would cover most of my rent but not all is this worth doing?

so lets say my mortgage is lets say 2000 i made this number up.

my tenant is paying 1500 rent

so my mortgage is 500 dollars that i would pay is this worth getting out of my apt on the second floor that i am paying 1465 a month?

i see it that i might get more rooms or a bigger place

i never saw anybody talk about this so thats why i am asking

I see. but when looking at an MLS listing how do i calculate this info from what i know in the listing?

basically can i get the number and calculate all this from the MLS listing?

Money i can always use partners or i can get money from somewhere but from an MLS listing how can i tell if its a good deal?

also what questions should i be asking when i go look at a property?

i am New to the real estate investing and i am learning now i am realing j scott book on flipping house taking me a while to finish but i am getting there. as i am reading i also reached out to a real estate company near where i live. about looking for property for me.

I have no idea what i am doing so i am going with the flow.

I live in farrockaway NY used to live in Brooklyn its a half hour drive so its close to each other.

anyways i am interested in retail propertys to start i feel like it a good place to start if any body can give me some advice weather to start here or go to wholesale or some thing else please let me know.
