Hello!  My daughter is a graduate student at Ohio University. She is looking to move to Lancaster the end of summer so her Sig. other can find better work.  He is also a student.  They are looking for a place at $700-.  They have a cat.  Both are very responsible, they don't have parties, or do drugs. Feel free to do background check. Credit is great.  They need a quiet place,  free from distractions, and lots of noise (ie: no party apartments).  My daughter is a Physics student.  Quiet is her number one priority for studying.   They currently live in a basement of a house with only one window.  Depressing! Anyway, if anyone out there has a long term rental (3 years) in Lancaster or the out-skirts of Lancaster please contact me.  I am a Real Estate agent and investor in Minnesota (which is why I'm on BP).  Message me. Thank you!

Happy Hunting!  CHEERS! Connie

Post: Use inheritance or home equity line of credit?

Hi! We are doing some home renovations (master suite, windows, entry door, and all new flooring through the entire home). Do we use our inheritance to pay for it? Do we get a home equity loan to pay for it? We also want to purchase our first rental in the next several months, and we're not sure if we should do a down payment (using inheritance $$ if we do a home equity loan) and go FHA, or do a VA loan. I want to make sure we don't regret any decision we make! Thanks for any advice you can provide!

Hi @Kyle Soderman we are not sure yet.  We have to create our criteria yet.  I have a few ideas, but downtown isn't one of them.  I'm a country girl so the suburbs for sure.  Just not sure what area yet.

Thank you Jake!  Yes it does help.  Referrals are gold, and I was wondering if you knew of a property mgt co that specializes in room rentals, or someone we can work with long distance to find a nice room in Daly City.  We have some time as she does need to be there until August 1st, but it would be nice to be in touch with someone who will have eyes/ears open for any good possibilities.  There's a bunch of stuff online, but after getting scammed by a gal today - this mom is a bit nervous.  Thanks for any help you can give.  Connie
