Hi Sam, When do you expect these to be completed?  Do you currently have any duplexes in Vineyard completed?

@Sam Levin I'm looking at more investment opportunities in the Utah County area.  Can you send me some info on the properties mentioned in your above post? Thank you!

I agree seems Ogden is one of the few places to invest right now.  I'm not very familiar with the area though and currently live out of state so I'm hesitant to buy there.  Maybe I'll try to invest in Chicago while I'm out here as it is in the top 10 cities with foreclosure, property taxes are ridiculous though.

Hi Remy,  I hear you on the prices being high in Utah.  I've been running a ton of properties through the rental calculator tool and pretty much everything is coming up with negative cash flow.  Hopefully someone on here can give us some information on how to find great deals on properties as I am focusing more in Utah County.  Best of luck to you and welcome to BP.

Post: HELOC Renovation rule?

I also thought it was strange as I have never heard of that rule though I am new to investing and wanted a second opinion. I repeated many times that I was looking at HELOC so I don't think they confused it with any other loan but it's always possible. Do you have suggestions on what the best types of loans are for a major renovation? Thank you.

I spoke with a bank the other day about getting a HELOC for a renovation and they said that I need to live in the home while it is being renovated and it needs to be livable so I can not remodel the kitchen, can anyone tell me if this is true?
