More often than none, you'll come across a few bad apples. I'm a firm believer in the "One and your done" rule. If you bring any investor a garbage deal, they'll put you on the back-burner and ignore anything you have to say.

REI is all about networking, and the more your name gets out that your over charging on sub-par properties listed on the MLS, the less people will want to work with you.

If your honest, professional, and you genuinely bring a few good deals to someones attention, 99% of the time he'll do business with you again.

Post: Need your help on altering my business name

I thought I was pretty sure on the name but the more I keep looking at it the more I think it should be slightly altered.

Since i'm relatively new i'd like to remain a wholesaler for at least a year, and have my business kind of reflect on that fact. I'll slowly transition into a buy and hold investor, so I wanted my name to be beneficial for both.

When I first started thinking of a name I was between two choices, "Tactical Property Investments" or "CG Property and Investments.

I stuck with "CG Property and Investments", because it didn't sound flashy and didn't come off as something a typical new guy would name his business. Until recently, I thought about some other ways I could phrase it:

- CG Property Investments
- CG Investment Properties

Any thought's or ideas would be greatly appreciated!

Jerry I do have one question actually, since I am starting out on the wholesale side of real esate and plan to move towards buy and holding properties. I've read a lot about many investors going bankrupt? Does this have anything to do with what type of loan I would get? or maybe how fast I get those properties?

New member here from Norfolk, Virginia.

A little about me, i'm currently AD US Navy, enlisted as an HT, I specialize in welding/fire fighting. The last 3 years, real estate has been a passion for me, ever since reading "Rich Dad, Poor Dad" for the first time my mind has been opened. My last deployment over to the middle-east not only gave me the chance to save money and start my business but also gave me the opportunity to read everything I could get my hands on. From basic investing articles, laws/regulations, marketing techniques, I couldn't put them down. As of now, I further my education at TCC studying business marketing and real estate while expanding my business within the Hampton Roads area.

As for my business, i'm the Owner of CG Property and Investments, which is a real estate company that specializes in wholesaling residential single-family homes to professional real estate investors and first-time home buyers. I currently have yet to make any deals, i'm more focused on building a thorough list of dependable buyers before I even start going out and meeting sellers. So until than, i'll keep learning and networking with others in the Norfolk area :)
