Hello all, Just looking for any knowledge here.  What should a seller in California considering owner financing look out for?

Should a real estate lawyer always be used?

Do mortgage brokers handle or help with these types of loans?

Is a lease option or some other rent to own structure a better way to go?

Awsome thread!

Such good and motivating advice, now I just need to get my wife to read this.

Congrats! I found the podcast about 2 months ago and now find myself on BP just about every day reading Blogs and Forum posts. Thanks @Joshua Dorkin and the BP staff you are awesome.

I would love to see an updated does and don't article on Seller Financing or if one exists maybe some one could point me in that directions. Thanks

I currently work for UNFI @Ali Boone I have been with the company for 18 years.

Thanks everyone for the warm welcome and tips!

@Ali Boone you named several of our customers but we are a Wholesale Distributor. We move boxes but at least they are full of mostly healthy stuff. Part of me wants you to keep guessing but I suppose I could just tell you...

@Stephen S.

I was just remembering going to the library to research cinderblock walls the day before I went to do a kennel project for an in law over twenty years ago. Then thinking how easy it was to look up how to install the cargo rails on my wife's new Pilot last year using YouTube on my phone.

Technology is awesome!

@Scott Trench

Thanks this is very helpful.

@Paul Timmins

Thanks for the list!

I have completed some of these and have the rest on my to do list.

I log a lot of hours everyday listening to podcasts and audio books as I take care of tasks that don't take my full attention. I have completed over half of the BP podcasts and several of the recommended books from the podcast.

BP is an awesome resource, I only wish I would have found it sooner.

Thank you Ben!

I’m new to real estate and currently just trying to soak up as much knowledge as I can. I currently work full time 50+ hours a week for a large Natural Foods Distributor. I have always been interested in real estate and I have decided to transition full time into the real estate profession. My long term goal is to build enough passive income to only do the work I want to do while still providing for my family. I’m looking forward to learning, growing and helping out in this community.
