Hello Frank,
I agree with Wesley, thank you for the summary and that you will be an outstanding addition.

Is there a way to access that research?

The fear of failure can be devastating. I can see her point. Bankruptcy would be very bad. But, as you said, you have done your homework and are associated with successful people. Start slow, show her that it works and then she will support you fully. Good luck.

Hello and :welcome:

Sometimes my spouse will be very supportive of what I do. Other times, she goes along "kicking and screaming". But overall, she does support me.

Hello Steve,
Landlords are always picked on. Just be the best you can be. Remember, renters are people, just treat them the way you would like to be treated. But also remember, this is your business. There's a difference between being their friend and being the landlord.

If you need anymore help, just ask. Good luck.

Hello Steve,
It doesn't take too many of those calls before you do something about it. I used drain cleaner every month to solve that problem.

I'm not saying that you should not buy property for rental, there's good money in it. What I mean is that you should be prepared for what the renter will request of you. That's why I recommend a property management company if you keep enough properties to afford one. Let them deal with that stuff. I hope this information is helpful.

Hello Steve,

Wesley is correct. The forum has plenty of information that will help you.

I myself have had rental property. There's nothing like a phone call at 2am in the morning about a stopped up toilet. I recommend a property management company if you plan to have several rentals.
