@Atanas Krastev hey there! I was reading your thread from last year. My family and I are new to town and live in pelican marsh. Looking for our first rental property here and was thinking single family home. I know you have some experience with this from your post, do you think that would be a good idea since we may find renters that will be here all year rather than seasonally? I’m trying to figure out if I should get my first property near us here in Naples or look elsewhere. Also do you know of any groups or anything to network with other investors here? Trying to also build a team of people to work with as well. Cheers!

@Jonathan Taylor I appreciate this post!

As someone who’s about to buy their first property with my wife, we want it to be a rental property.

We currently rent. We have successful home based businesses and instead of buying a gone for ourselves, we rather start our real estate portfolio.

My issue is, our credit score is in the low to mid 600s due to not really owning anything to establish credit. Other than our car leases, we don’t have much debt. She has some student loans and I only have about 2500 in CC debt.

What do you suggest for married couple that are first time buyers who's going for a rental property? Not the best credit, but we have some cash and have good income. My wife also has a good W2. Can I do FHA on a rental? Should I? I'd rather save as much cash as possible obviously

@Stetson Miller thank you so much for this! I assume you live in the area? I’m considering whether to get my first rental property here, or somewhere else that may be more evergreen rather than seasonal.

Hey guys and gals,

New member here. A 34 year old family man entrepreneur who just moved to Naples FL. I’ve decided my next business will be real estate investing. A few of my friends do it, but none of them are local and hard to connect with. Looking to see if anyone is local, knows of any events or places to network.
