I'm wanting to invest out of state - when analyzing new markets, what are the most important questions to ask and other things to consider? Are there any resources available with a good list?

Hi Joe - I'm looking to invest out of state as well and currently determining my criteria. What would you say are the most important questions to ask/things to look into when learning a new market?

Post: Real Estate Appraisal for Primary Income?

Hi all!

My name is Chris. I'm interested in becoming a real estate appraiser for my primary income. I would love some advice on the up and downsides of this role.

The way I see it so far is that not only will I [eventually] be able to have my own practice and freedom that comes along with that, but I also like the fact that I will become an expert in real estate valuation thus giving me an edge when it comes to analyzing deals.

What are your thoughts on pursuing something like this? I would love the opportunity to connect and have a conversation.

Respectfully,

Chris Yeakel

Hi everyone,

My name is Chris and I'm very new to real estate. I'm in the process of educating myself and want to know if there is a good way to practice running the numbers and evaluating properties. I want to learn how to estimate things as well such as rehab costs etc. Is there a set of tools or platform I can use to begin this?

I'm really excited to be apart of such a knowledgeable community and look forward to contributing in any way I can.
