@Andrew Postell So you can have 10 conventional mortgages for investment properties plus one conventional mortgage for your primary? Thanks for your response.

Ive been told by banks and mortgage lenders that you can have up to 10 conventional mortgages in your personal name as long long as your debt to income stays below 36 percent.

Does anyone have any experience with this?

Thank you

@Jim Wollen Thanks Jim, I'm still holding without an LLC, purchased commercial grade insurance and an umbrella policy. Seems most recommend the LLC and lots of insurance. I've read you can put your primary assets in a trust which can help some.

First post on bigger pockets! I’m under contract on my first 3 family home and I’m exploring insurance options. I’m hoping someone (anyone) can shine some light on the differences between Homeowners, landlord, umbrella insurance. Do I need all 3? Any experience or thoughts are welcomed.

Thank You
